For me, the ’56 Ford F100 is the best of the ‘50s Ford trucks thanks to that wrap-around windshield. The ’56 reminds me of all those Truckin’ magazine centerfolds of the ‘70s, and they have the perfect blobby shape for slamming on the ground. They also remind me of the yellow tow rig and daily driver of Pat Ganahl, a legendary hot rodding journalist. Finally, there’s the ’56 that was one of the OG Hot Wheels I had as a kid.
These are all the reasons I had to have this orange F100 when it popped up from a guy who owned in high school in the mid ‘70s and had parked it ever since. You may have seen Finnegan and me rescuing it from neglect in an episode of Roadkill. It’s just so, so good. I really had no choice but to make a T-shirt out of it, and I gotta say I love the art. It’s just right to show the killer design of the front end of these trucks.
Grab a shirt! They are black with the design on the front and the D/F logo at the neckline in the rear. They are 100% cotton and made in the USA.
